Events Coordinator, National Office, Wellington

NZEI Te Riu Roa is the organisation representing 47,000 primary and early childhood teachers, specialist education staff and school support staff.  It is committed to high quality public education and to the application of the Treaty of Waitangi.

The primary purpose of this role is to oversee and implement the planning and delivery of high quality, within budget, cost effective national events.   The role will also have primary responsibility for travel bookings within New Zealand and will undertake other duties and functions as requested from time to time including supporting and backing up other NZEI Te Riu Roa Executive Assistant roles when needed.  This position reports to the Strategic Development Manager.

We are looking for someone with superior interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, project management skills, knowledge of events planning, negotiation with suppliers, and an ability to work as part of a team.
