Guidelines on Physical Contact with Children

NZEI has released its new guidelines on physical contact with children, to assist its members who work as teachers and support staff in schools and early childhood education centres. You can read our media release or download a PDF of the Guidelines.

Pay and Employment Equity reviews underway

Pay and Employment Equity reviews are now underway in the Ministry of Education, which includes NZEI members working in Group Special Education (GSE). To view the Pay and Employment Equity poster click here

The review is part of the Government project to ensure that job choice, job opportunities and remuneration in public sector organisations are not affected by gender.
