About Te Reo Areare

What is Te Reo Areare? He aha Te Reo Areare?

Te Reo Areare provides national leadership for NZEI Te Riu Roa in Maori issues, Maori education and for Maori members. It has an equal party relationship with National Executive.

Ko Te Reo Areare te mangai a motu, ki Te Riu Roa, mo nga take Maori, matauranga Maori, nga mema Maori. Tu ngatahi a Te Reo Areare me nga Apiha Riroa a motu.

Membership includes representatives from Aronui Tomua, rohe, the early childhood sector, support staff and student teachers. Te Reo Areare members participate fully in implementing the general priorities of NZEI Te Riu Roa and are represented on all the general structures — National Executive, Early Childhood National Caucus, Te Roopu Kaiawhina Tautoko Support Staff, and Principals' Council.
