NZEI is proud to have advocated for public education and quality teaching for 125 years. We have done this regardless of who is in government. In election year, NZEI will continue to advocate for the issues that we believe are central to public education and our members’ interests, while remaining committed to our principles of being independent and non-partisan.
We face an election this year in which every vote counts. We encourage NZEI members to talk to their friends, families and wider community to promote the policies NZEI wants to see in place to ensure a strong public education system and fairness at work for all education workers.
