What's the role of NZEI's District Councils?
NZEI has 12 District Councils. They are regional organisations bringing together representatives from local branches, aronui tomua and networks. You can contact the secretary of your own District Council through your NZEI Te Riu Roa regional office. Some DCs have their own website - these are in blue below.
The 12 District Councils are:
- Auckland
- Bay Of Plenty
- Central East
- Murihiku
- Nelson
- Otago
- Taitokerau
- Taranaki
- Waikato
- Waitaha-Canterbury
- Wanganui
- Wellington
National Executive Liaison with District Councils
The National Executive Liaison person is expected to act as a communication channel between National Executive and the District Councils and vice versa. National Executive Liaison
