Key Points:

• Terms of settlement for the ASTCA 2007-2010 were agreed on 19 December 2007.
• Members must now vote on whether to ratify the settlement.
• NZEI’s National Executive and your negotiating team recommend ratifying the settlement
• This pack contains information about the terms of settlement and a ballot return form.
• Worksite reps are being asked to conduct a ballot of all NZEI teacher members at their worksites and then report the outcome to NZEI Te Riu Roa.

Action:

Worksite representatives:

• Distribute the Terms of Settlement information to all NZEI teacher members at your school.
• Organise a separate ballot of the members at your worksite covered by each collective agreement. You can either organise a paper ballot to be returned to you or hold a meeting and take a vote by show of hands. Note: PPTA will organise a ballot of all PPTA members at your worksite.
• Complete the attached return form and fax back to NZEI by 12.00pm (midday)
