National Executive
The National Executive is the ruling body of NZEI Te Riu Roa. Find out more about the National Executive and committee responsibilities of the NZEI Te Riu Roa 2007 National Executive.

Field officers
If you're an NZEI member, your field officer should be your first point of contact. NZEI has three regional offices and 10 field offices employing more than 40 field staff and takawaenga.

Te Reo Areare
Te Reo Areare provides national leadership for NZEI Te Riu Roa in Maori issues, Maori education and for Maori members.

District Councils
NZEI has 12 District Councils. They are regional organisations bringing together representatives from local branches, aronui tomua and networks.

Aronui Tomua
Aronui Tomua are local branches of NZEI members who identify with Te Miro Maori. Aronui Tomua members are represented at Kahui Whetu (Hui-a-Tau), Annual Meetings, and District Council meetings.

Members' Support Teams
With more than 45,000 members, one in every 100 Kiwis is a member of NZEI Te Riu Roa!

Support Staff Caucus

Primary Teachers Advisory Group (PCTAG)
The PCTAG promotes the participation of classroom teachers in NZEI, and advises NZEI's National Executive on professional and industrial issues specific to primary teachers.

Takawaenga

Branches
The best way to meet your NZEI colleagues locally is to get active in your local branch. Each Branch is represented at NZEI's Annual Meeting and at District Council level.
