The PaEE reviews in schools have begun.   Although the project has not yet reached the goal of 10 primary and 10 secondary schools for the sample, the PaEE review committees have started the process of examining pay and employment equity in their schools as part of the second phase of the Sector Review process.   

Reviews in schools will continue during term 4.   Further information gathering processes are underway.  These include a Staff Perception and Experience Survey which will be available online for staff in the school in the review sample and for selected schools.  We hope this survey will be made more widely available and will post a link to the survey when it becomes available. 

Other activities include focus groups for principals and all staff.   The Tripartite Committee (schooling sector unions, MoE and STA) are also examining nationally held data and information.  When the information gathering processes are completed a report will be written with recommendations of an action plan to address any pay and employment equity issues uncovered by the Sector Review.
