Delivering 1000 Community Statements to Parliament, March 31 2010

No confidence in National Standards

Because we care about children’s learning, we are deeply concerned about the Government’s National Standards policy.

We are concerned that:
  • The Standards are untested
  • They could label children as young as five as failures
  • They could result in misleading and damaging school league tables
  • They are not the solution to under-achievement.

The campaign so far

Why not check out the campaign highlights (including video and photographs from the campaign trail), download some of our great resources, have a look at the new National Standards Warrant of Fitness, join Operation Orange, watch a video of parents discussing the standards, or send an e-card to John Key?
