NZEI Te Riu Roa has a number of special interest networks. These groups provide support and assistance for members who identify with certain areas of interest.
Komiti Pasifika - exploring and debating issues around Pasifika student achievement and learning styles.
Lobby Network - building relationships with local MPs so that NZEI's issues remain on the agenda.
Men's Network - looking at issues that can affect men in the education sector such as educating boys and career paths.
Women's Network - focussing on pay and employment equity, work-life balance and human rights.
Rainbow Network - supporting members who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Takatapui, Fa'afafine, Transgender, or Intersex.
YMN - dealing with issues affecting young, new and student members.
AP/DP Network - where Assistant and Deputy Principals can share thoughts and ideas on the issues that matter.
