Hi my name is Chris Dalliston and I am the Taranaki District representative to the Primary Teachers Leadership Team. I teach at Inglewood Primary School where I teach a composite year 7 and 8 class. I have been actively involved with NZEI since my teachers’ college days and am a firm believer that a teacher’s working conditions are a student’s learning conditions. Hi, I am Vivienne Goldsmith, the current representative for Auckland on PTLT and the team’s Deputy Convenor.
I teach at Sunnynook School on the North Shore, teaching year 5 and 6 students.  I have a keen interest in ‘E Learning’.
I am a member of North Shore Branch and a member of Auckland Area Council.

I am the Wellington Area representative on the Primary Teachers Leadership Team. I teach a year seven and eight class at Kelburn Normal School, which is just along the road from the cable car and Victoria University. I am also the leader of the year 5-8 area and the SENCO (Special Education Needs Coordinator). I have 24 years of teaching experience at all the levels from year 0 through to year 11, in a variety of roles at a variety of schools throughout the North Island. I have three delightful daughters: two attend university and my youngest is still at secondary school. We are in the midst of interesting and challenging times in education in New Zealand; I am keen to listen to and promote your views and issues. I live in Turangi, and am based at Taupo Primary School working for Kelston Deaf Education Centre as a resource teacher of Deaf and hearing impaired (RTD).  In the course of my work with students with hearing loss I have the privilege of working alongside of, and in the classrooms of, a variety of teachers.  I hold a senior teacher position and have responsibility for the team of RTD in Rotorua.  As RTD we are teachers who must keep up to date with curriculum developments, assessment techniques and tools, and what is currently considered best practice in education, whilst being specialists in language development and audition.
I have a long involvement with NZEI Te Riu Roa and local, regional and national level, most recently a 2 year stint on National Executive.  I have always been and remain a strong advocate for the voice of the chalk face teacher.    I am looking forward to making new connections and friendships as I work within this new role on the PTL Team.  I welcome opinions and ideas and invite you to email me directly -  clintg@kdec.school.nz.

Kia Ora my name is Kay Schimanski and I am Murihiku District Councils PTLT rep. I am a teacher at Ruru Specialist School and have been actively involved in NZEI for the last 3 years. I am also at present the Southland Branch’s president and I am also involved in NZEI’s Lobby Network. As my role as Murihiku’s PTLT rep, I am here to advocate Primary Classroom Teachers’ issues. My name is Lee Phillips and I am the representative for the Otago Area Council on the Primary Teacher’s Leadership Team.
I am married with two grown up children so I have time to devote to this position. I am actively involved in NZEI at many levels, from worksite rep. at my school George Street Normal in Dunedin where I teach Y2, to the local branch where I am the President.

I am the new Primary Teacher's Leadership team
representative for the Tai Tokerau Area Council.  I am also currently Branch President of NZEI: Te Riu Roa for Whangarei.  I have been in this position for several years and was previously President of the Northern Wairoa branch.  I teach a Year 5 and 6 class at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic School in Whangarei.  I am an experienced teacher and have been worksite representative in seven schools over that time.  I have attended Annual Meeting since 1997.  We have an exciting year ahead so I look forward to progressing the issues of primary teachers.  Please feel free to email me with anything you wish to discuss. I am Katrina Alexander and I am the Central East Area Council Rep on the Primary Teachers Leadership Team (previously known as PCTAG). I am a Y2 teacher at St Patrick’s School in Napier. I am a passionate teacher and love to see the learning progress children make throughout the year. This passion also continues into my NZEI life as Napier Branch President and a member of the CEAC Executive. As a PTLT we meet once a term to discuss issues that affect us as primary teachers. Hi, I am Kevin Rae, I represent theWaikato Area Council on the PTLT.  I have been a member of NZEI since my time at university, when I was a co - convener of the YMN network.
I teach a lovely class of Year 7 students at Melville Intermediate School in Hamilton, with an interest in integrating ICT into day to day teaching and learning.

July.jpg I am the mother of a beautiful and inquisitive son, who is the reason for my passion and commitment to make a real difference in the lives of and minds of tamariki. I am currently a senior teacher at Kaitao Middle School located at the foot of Ngongotaha maunga, in Rotorua.
I am the Nga Tataha a Maui Area Council representative on the Primary Teacher Leadership Team and recognize the responsibilities of this role as crucial to ensuring that the voices of those that I
represent be heard and that issues that affect our profession be debated.
