Web and Multi-media Campaigner

Are you passionate about using social media and the power of multi-media to engage people in making positive change? Do you want to use your web-writing skills to engage and motivate readers to get involved in education issues?  Are you ready to drive an innovative new web strategy to engage 50,000 people working in education?

We are looking for a web editor and videographer who has experience of web and social media in a campaigning context and who can generate fresh ideas, copy and footage that will engage our members.  

The position sits within a small communications team and demands a wide range of skills.

The ideal applicant will be passionate about education, have strong project management skills, and be an avid networker and an excellent communicator. You will need:

  • Experience in developing, implementing and evaluating web-based campaign strategies
  • Proven web writing and editing ability
  • Technical competence and understanding of web technologies including blogs and social media tools
  • Understanding of the technical requirements of websites including coding and content management systems
  • Excellent skills in shooting and production of video
  • Proven oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management ability
  • Strong interest in educational issues
  • A commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi and to working bi-culturally
