What's new for Kindergarten Teachers?

Pay increase:

salary rate increase as agreed in the primary settlement from 1 July 2007
further increases as above until 2009
mechanism to retain differential between teachers, head teachers and senior teachers salaries.

Hours of work:

professional time
maximum child contact hours
head teachers entitled to 8 hours professional time quarterly from 2008.

Kindergarten day:

defined child contact hours and professional time.
