Area School Teachers

This section includes information for teachers working in area schools throughout New Zealand.
Remuneration and Recognition survey

NZEI is encouraging primary and area school teachers and principals to think about the way they are paid and recognised for the work they do. 
A Remuneration and Recognition discussion pack has been sent to all primary (primary discussion pdf) and area schools (area school discussion pdf) for teachers to discuss and build their understanding of the issues.
Worksite representatives have been asked to collate the feedback and fill in a quick survey ahead of more detailed consultation next year.
